About Galoy

At Galoy, we build Bitcoin-native core banking software for regulated financial institutions. Our platform enables banks and financial organizations to offer Bitcoin-backed lending, payments, stablecoins, and exchange, either as a primary core system or integrated with their existing infrastructure.

We maintain several open source components that power key parts of the platform, while other modules remain proprietary. Our flagship product is Lana, a Bitcoin-backed lending platform designed specifically for institutional clients.

About the role

We're looking for a hands-on CFO / Controller to own our finance function on a part-time basis (~10–20 hrs/week, flexible). You'll work directly with the founders to keep our books clean, our team paid, and our investors informed, at a Bitcoin-native company with a globally distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Run payroll for US and worldwide team members
• Own the monthly close and maintain a rolling cash forecast
• Manage the cap table (Carta or similar)
• Coordinate the annual tax return with our external tax professional
• Prepare investor reporting and board-level financial materials

Required qualifications

• 5+ years in a controller, fractional CFO, or similar role, ideally at a startup
• Experience running multi-country payroll and working with PEO/EOR providers
• Strong command of cap table management and equity administration
• Comfortable managing US corporate tax filings alongside external accountants
• Clear, concise written communication; we're a remote-first, async team

Nice to have

• Experience at a Bitcoin or fintech company
• Familiarity with GAAP and multi-entity / international structures
• Personal understanding of Bitcoin
