About the Role

You'll design and maintain backend systems emphasizing Rust, GraphQL, and Bitcoin technologies. This full-time position involves architecting and developing backend services, integrating with Bitcoin functionality, and collaborating cross-functionally to expand our financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop backend services using Rust, Bitcoin, and GraphQL
• Integrate with Bitcoin functionality and optimize for reliability
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and product stakeholders
• Implement best practices for testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/delivery
• Mentor other engineers and foster a collaborative engineering culture
• Participate in open-source development, reviews, documentation, and community engagement

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years professional backend or full-stack software engineering experience
• Deep Bitcoin knowledge and passion for adoption
• Rust experience (TypeScript familiarity preferred)
• Core banking or financial services platform background
• GraphQL API design and consumption expertise
• Commitment to building secure, highly available distributed systems
• English fluency (spoken and written)
• Remote work and async communication experience

Nice to Have

• Bitcoin Development Kit (BDK) experience
• TypeScript, React, React Native knowledge
• Spanish language proficiency
• Startup adaptability mindset
