# Galoy

> Galoy builds Bitcoin-native core banking infrastructure for regulated financial institutions. We enable banks, credit unions, and trust companies to offer Bitcoin custody, payments, Bitcoin-backed lending, and stablecoin services without replacing their existing core systems. Custody-independent — banks choose their own qualified custodian. ISO 27001:2022 certified. Headquartered in the United States.

Galoy's primary product is Lana, a Bitcoin-backed lending platform with automated loan-to-value monitoring, margin call and liquidation workflows, double-entry accounting, and institutional governance controls. Galoy's broader platform covers four use cases: Bitcoin-backed lending, Bitcoin payments (Lightning-native), stablecoin payments, and Bitcoin exchange (riskless principal model).

Galoy's ideal customer is a community or regional bank ($500M–$5B in assets), a de novo institution, or an OCC-supervised trust bank. Galoy is a software vendor, not a custodian, broker-dealer, or law firm.
