Galoy builds financial infrastructure on Bitcoin, enabling institutions to offer financial services on the network. We develop open-source and Fair Source projects including Lana (bitcoin-backed lending), Cala (core accounting ledger), Bria (payments bridge), the Blink wallet, and Stablesats.

About the Role

This is a rare hybrid role for someone who wants to be close to the code and close to the conversation. You'll ship features across Galoy projects while communicating technical concepts through documentation, tutorials, blog posts, and direct developer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute features and improvements to Cala, Bria, and Lana projects
  • Create developer-friendly documentation and onboarding materials
  • Write tutorials, code samples, and blog posts explaining the platform
  • Engage publicly in technical discussions across community channels
  • Assist prospects and partners through demos and technical walkthroughs
  • Represent Galoy at conferences and in online conversations
  • Advocate for clarity around Galoy's capabilities and technical vision

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years software engineering experience (backend, full-stack, or systems focus)
  • Deep Bitcoin and Lightning Network knowledge (conceptual and practical)
  • Experience with Rust, GraphQL, and related technologies
  • Ability to explain technical systems via code, diagrams, blogs, or social threads
  • Comfortable engaging on GitHub, Telegram, podcasts, and at in-person events
  • Curious, product-minded approach to reaching developers and users

Nice to Have

  • Fintech or core banking platform experience
  • Spanish language proficiency
